- Transphobia is another way of introducing divide and conquer amongst the working class, distracting from the real reasons for social disfunction: poverty and a widening wealth gap.
- Transphobia is designed to flood the zone with false concerns so voters minds are occupied with that rather than how empty their wallets are.
- Transphobia plays an important function for the ruling class - divide and rule.
- Transphobia is a byproduct of white supremacy, and capitalism reinforces it.
- I wish more people were class conscious, and weren't brainwashed by capitalism and white supremacy, cos they'd know that white supremacy and capitalism work hand-in-hand, and that transphobia is white supremacist ideology and capitalism props it up.
- Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, all of these are intentionally propagated and fueled by capitalism to reinforce a class system, to have an exploitable class. Because it makes someone money.
- Transphobia is a luxury belief in that the only people seriously invested in it are wealthy white people.
- Transphobia is really a bourgeois fixation. People with bills to pay simply don’t have time to be insane about it.
- Once again: transphobia is an obsession of the elites. This is a war waged by the gentry upon the rest of us.
4. Interseccionalidad: Clase, Raza y Transfobia.
- “it’s all just a class war” says the person desperately trying to avoid discussions of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia in their political discourse. Things can be multifaceted, that’s why intersectionality exists.".
- Almost like transphobia and racism are both connected by global racial capitalism oh wait.
- It’s class, race and several other prejudices that all feed into transphobia (eg non-white women athletes are much more likely to be “transvestigated”, their attitude to people with autism is atrocious etc etc ).
- And socialism is how you fight/stop it. Not more liberalism or liberal identity reductionism.
- Enstating socialism or whatever would not end transphobia. But you also can't end transphobia without first ending capitalism.
- What really gets me is when trans and other queer people insist that ending capitalism will end transphobia, as if we’ve done great under communism.
