- I open bluesky and everyone is happy then i open twitter and 5 tweets in i see transphobia.
- Part of why i'm switching to bluesky seeing extreme transphobia daily kinda sucks.
- The only real reason i prefer bluesky over twitter is that here i'm way less likely to run into gut wrenching levels of transphobia, sure this site has issues but at least half my feed isn't telling me to kill myself on a daily basis.
- It's easy switching from twitter to bluesky when there's no transphobia being shown to me every 5 seconds here.
- Bluesky will not take a stand against transphobia, but i will not tolerate transphobia and prejudice against non-binary people. Be an a-hole and you'll end up being blocked.
- You heard it here, folks: transphobia, targeted harassment and hate-group association are a-okay by bluesky's moderation team. A despicably cruel joke given how the trans community were bluesky's building blocks.
- Virulent transphobia and racism has been allowed to thrive on bluesky under the guise of "politeness" while people defending themselves are getting suspended and banned under the guise of "rudeness".
- I've literally reported transphobia directed at myself only to have bluesky pull a facebook and ban me for a week.
- It’s clear that bluesky moderation bans trans people for being critical of their oppressors but will platform transphobia and give it reach.
- Bluesky is only as successful as it is today because of trans people. Block transphobia on sight and make this a better platform.
- Bluesky was pretty much built by trans people and it's why centrists who think transphobia is the solution hate it here.
- It's been said before, but bluesky has been heavily used by trans people from the very beginning because it was a *relatively* safe haven from the transphobia of twitter. We built our followings here, we built communities, we were using this site every day while other people didn't know it existed.
- So, you join bluesky, a website built by trans and queer artists, and the first thing you decide to do is spread transphobia? pathetic. Get the fuck out, we don't want you here.
- Not seen any of this on bluesky yet :) maybe because i've subscribed to this excellent transphobia blocklist:
- The block function on bluesky is incredibly strong. You block somebody and it's like they never existed - deletes them out of threads they've interacted with you on, don't show up in searches, the works. I've seen no transphobia on my timeline because of blocks.
- I love bluesky, and user generated moderation.
- Honestly i've come to distrust any transphobia labelers on bluesky on the count that the last two i tried wound up being run by weirdo cliques who just labeled people they didn't like trans or not.
