1. La Transfobia Liberal vs. la Conservadora.
Se describe la transfobia liberal como más insidiosa que la de la derecha. Mientras que el odio conservador es directo y fácil de identificar, el liberal se disfraza de "preocupación genuina" o "solo hacer preguntas", lo que normaliza la intolerancia en círculos moderados y es percibido como más dañino emocionalmente.

Existe un debate sobre la presencia de la transfobia en la izquierda. Mientras algunos argumentan que la "verdadera izquierda" es inmune, muchos testimonios afirman que los espacios liberales e izquierdistas están llenos de transfobia, a menudo ignorada o minimizada, generando desconfianza y falta de seguridad para las personas trans.
