- Dei enables competent capable people to get jobs they have been denied due to the institutionalized racism and sexism people like trump have created and fostered in the us.
- Dei attacks are just poorly disguised racism, sexism, and ableism. And soon it will be done openly.
- Dei is a tool to combat many decades of systemic racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia and more. Being opposed to it is inherently discriminatory and quite frankly gross.
- Remember this whenever you hear someone complain about dei. Dei is what stops racism and sexism. What would you have to be to want to stop dei?
- It's not really about dei "training" programs but the belief that "dei hires" are less qualified black & brown people & women who were hired to meet quotas instead of more qualified white men. It's pure, raw racism/sexism.
- Dei is just sexism and racism. Let the most qualified person get the job regardless of race, ethnicity or sex.
- Lol, i'm against dei because it's, ironically, racist. To address past injustices, dei collectively punishes white males, for the most part. We should be color blind. Racism and sexism should not exist - for anyone.
- How can racism and sexism fix racism and sexism? if you reject racism and sexism then you, on principle, reject dei.
- Dei is institutionalised racism and sexism. We should judge applicants on qualifications and character, not their race, sex, sexual preferences and gender identity.
- Sadly, dei means bigoted prejudice against a large part of the population. A gentler, kinder form or racism and sexism….
- So i guess all poc and women are now dei hires. When they say anti-dei i guess it really means racism and sexism.
- "dei hire," is a major dog whistle for racism, sexism and homo/transphobia. I.e. 'they're incompentent, but we hired them because they are a black lesbian,' basically.
- I wince every time something is blamed on dei. It's as if to say "this wouldn't have happened if we hired white men instead of [marginalized groups]". It's nothing but thinly veiled racism and sexism.
- Seeing a minority or a woman in a position and saying “dei hire” as has become common, is racism and sexism on open display.
- The attack on dei is obviously just code for racism/sexism/__ism but it also serves as a way to erase all the accomplishments (education, professional experience, etc) of poc, women, lgbtq folk.
