- Let's stay together democrats. I know there are some out there, some i know personally, who blame progressives for our loss. That's bs. Racism and sexism caused our loss.
- Dems lost because of racism and sexism. Thats it. The choice couldn’t have been clearer to anyone with a brain. But yall are too racist and sexist to allow you to do the right thing.
- Democrats lose because white peope are racist. Not because of a lack of skill, progressive agenda or campaigning. And if you’re a woman you get the double sting of sexism.
- I am not listening to anyone blaming the dems for this. It's the racism and sexism, silly.
- The dems lost because of racism and sexism. No other reason. Everything else is nothing but a pathetic excuse.
- Blaming it on racism and sexism (which is real) allows democrats to not substantively change their agenda or priorities. This is sets the party up for failure. But you do you.
- Racism and sexism play virtually no role in the dems losses it's their policies stupid.
- Blaming the failure of democrats only on racism and sexism absolves the democrats of any responsibility for failing to win against the worst candidate of all time and only ensures continued losses.
- This attitude and approach is exactly why democrats lose. It’s easy to blame racism and sexism instead of blaming the actual candidate for having dogshit policies and failing to inspire enough people to vote for her.
- If you blame trump's win on sexism & racism, dems will continue to struggle.
- Democrats have a racism and sexism problem too, and it’s arguably amplified since their base is black women.
- The only problem the democrats have (imho) is not understanding that we have a racism and sexism problem on the left as well.
- Hillary and kamala should have easily won those elections. They lost because democrats still have a racism and sexism problem that runs deep in our party. It needs to be addressed.
- The democratic party has a deep seeded history of racism and sexism it can not seem to escape.
- Good to see sexism and racism are alive and well in the democratic party, because how else do you justify this??
- I think sexism and racism played a part, (likely a major one) but there are lots of things the dems did to lose this election. I think you can overcome one of those things, but not both.
- 100% sexism and racism played a role. I just don't think that that fact should absolve the dems of their terrible strategy and decisions in a completely winnable election.
- Racism and sexism could have played a role, yes. But so did economic factors, israel's genocide, and a lot of other socioeconomic factors.
- Yeah, racism and sexism definitely were a factor in what happened in november, but the inability of democrats to take credit for and promote policies people like, and their complete failure to push back on the neoliberal/corporatist policies that screw the non-wealthy, is probably the main factor.
- Was there racism and sexism? sure. But it was primarily dem arrogance - again - that fucked this up. Don’t blame the voters. Ask yourself how they could lose to this crook twice.
