- I cant get my head around how so many people seem to genuinely hate disabled folk and are mad that we help anyone ever.
- Disability in this society is seen as something bad, not neutral. Not just a way to be alive. It is seen as a moral failure or a failure of work ethic. Youre just lazy, youre not trying hard enough.
- I hate how much resentment people have for you when youre disabled and it actually you know disables you.
- People used to climb over him in his wheelchair like he was furniture and de-humanise him.
- Disability supports are not nice to have for disabled people. They are literally a matter of life and death for many of us. We are fighting for our lives here.
- Theyre also the people that scream at disabled people to get off their asses and do whatever work they can handle, but dont hire disabled people.
- Disabled people are subject to suspicion, doubt, scrutiny, and criticism as a rule. No matter what way theyre disabled.
- Not being able to work or seek higher education due to disability is so much worse than people realize.
- Its a problem when disabled people arent given what they need to live, but the state finds it so easy to offer them death.
- The people doing this are bigots and they have a long history of inciting violence and other harm against people with disabilities. Essentially, they are nazis and believe that disabled people should be culled from the population.
- I pissed some of my friends off when i explained that canada was using maid to get rid of the disabled instead of using it to give people an option for assisted dying.
- Assisted dying as canada parts of europe practice it is eugenics, they push disabled people into a corner by never offering the support folks need to have dignity into their lives say but deaths right here!
- We are here. We make up 25 of the population. Being disabled is part of life and an eventuality for many. Being disabled cannot be handwaved away and forgotten.
- This is about humanity. About the millions of people with disabilities who have fought like hell to be seen as full human beings.
- Disabled people deserve to have food. Disabled people deserve to have water. Health care, love, stress relief, pets, partners. Disabled people deserve to live.
- Disabled people should be centred in revolutionary work - in terms of example, approach, and accommodation. Principles of disability justice ftw.
