- We are one of the biggest threats to the patriarchy. The fact that trans women reject manhood while embracing womanhood, causes extreme cognitive dissonance to people whose entire world view is predicated on the idea of men being superior. Nothing pisses them off more than seeing us thrive.
- Trans women are a direct threat to the foundation of patriarchy. Because a trans woman says: "i see male privilege. I was handed it. And i still chose truth. Chose authenticity. Chose to be a woman." and that breaks their brains.
- It's pretty clear to me why trans women are such a perennial target for the patriarchy. The very fact that a man would choose to become a woman flies in the face of the old order where men are supposed to be inherently superior. By virtue of existing, a trans woman kicks misoginy where it hurts.
- Patriarchy hates trans women because it loathes the idea that being a woman is at all desirable.
- The patriarchy is more opposed to trans women than anything else because the idea that a "man" would "choose" to be a woman dismantles the patriarchal idea that men are superior to women.
- I’ve always wondered how trans men relate to patriarchy. To my understanding, the vast majority reject it on principle bc it’s vile shit, but there’s probably a lot more going on that i don’t see.
- The want to completely decouple trans men as men from patriarchy, that they cannot ever possibly benefit from, enforce, or participate in it is just anti-reality. Even cis women can participate in, enforce, and even 'benefit' from patriarchy!
- I suspect trans men fit the narrative of patriarchy better. To the patriarchal mind a woman who want to be a man to be the superior gender makes sense, but a man who would surrender their superior gender is a threatening aberration.
- This smacks of “trans men are failed women who are trying to become the patriarchy”, it’s very bad.
- I don't know why this constantly needs to be explained to people, but trans men and trans mascs are not seen as men in a transphobic society and do not inherit the benefits of the patriarchy.
- The patriarchy is the source of all transphobia. It punishes all trans people for breaking its prescribed roles about gender and sex.
- Trans people are a massive disruptance to patriarchy. They’re seen as “people giving up their manhood to become weak” or “weak people gaining manhood” and misogynists hate that, they don’t want people changing their status.
- If you want to fight transphobia, you have to address patriarchy.
- Trans people threaten the whole foundation of the patriarchy. Of course they must be eliminated!
- Trans people transitioning is the biggest threat to patriarchy. Completely subverting the trope of natural order, compliance, assimilation, hierarchy that patriarchy relies on, and turning it on its head.
- It is patriarchy but in a trojan horse. Trans women are not women, that's all there is to it.
- Within transgender ideology lies a paradoxical reinstatement of patriarchy, which trans women claim to be deconstructing. These natal males want to force us, the actual women, to accept their intrusion into all our protected spaces.
- They literally are the patriarchy. Full of male entitlement. Transmen don't get a look in. That's because they're female.
- I have learned that the patriarchy is not above putting on a dress or changing their pronouns in order to abuse women. Not everyone who is trans has to be consciously acting as an agent of the patriarchy in order for gender ideology to serve patriarchal goals.
- Trans women (biological males) are erasing biological women and taking their rights away. Stop this nonsense. It's patriarchy disguised in dresses.
5. Divisiones Internas y Patriarcado Interiorizado.
- And the rest of it is 'patriarchy is a real and visible threat to women. Unfortunately men are protected as a social class and it's hard to speak out against them, luckily there's a loophole where we can accuse transwomen of being men, and just dump all that grief onto them as a psychic heatsink'.
- As a cis woman i will never understand how self-defeating and dumb you have to be to see trans people, and not patriarchy, as the enemy. You dumb fucking bigots just gave the patriarchal state even more power by inviting it to adjudicate the status of our bodies and selves.
- So many trans women desperately need to turn inward and dismantle the systems of oppression we've internalized from our cisgendered heterosexual male socialization under patriarchy before daring to speak on oppression.
- I agree, but i am alarmed and disheartened by the number of cis women who are on the anti-trans trains. It's not just men, although it is the patriarchy, which some cis women buy into. Shameful.
- I’ve met a non-insignificant number of cis women, especially cishet women, who hold a lot of patriarchal ideas. But in cis women, it’s called internalized misogyny. In trans women, it’s called “male socialization”. Because we’re never imagined as targets of patriarchy in these discussions.
