- If the neighbor skips a day of "peanut tribute" the squirrels trash her front porch so she is locked into paying "protection". Mafia squirrels.
- Squirrel mafia shakedown. "nice bird feeders you got there. Be a shame if something happened to them." peanuts!
- It’s like he’s in the squirrel mafia and extorting you for the fancy mixed nuts. “hey, nice garden ya got there. Be a shame if something happened to it!”.
- I immediately knew the mafia squirrels had caused trouble. Because they were all sitting out of reach, waiting for me to find their havoc. When i located that first dug up plant, there was much chattering i.e. Cheering from the peanut-loving gallery.
- This is why i always say the crows here are like the mafia. They even walk around like they own the place.
- Having crows on your side is like having the animal version of the mafia on your side.
- Our local hawks keep leaving the remains of their hunts outside my door and i can't help but think that, if there is a bird mafia, this is exactly how they'd send a message.
- Neighborhood park crow mafia infighting. No sharing while nesting!
3. Otras Pandillas Aviares: Gansos, Palomas y Tordos.
- I like watching canadian geese from a very safe distance, those guys are like the mafia gangsters of the bird world, and will attack anyone who gets close.
- A group had proclaimed a corner of my balcony as their territory and wouldn't allow any other pigeons to eat from that corner, there would literally be a mafia gang war happening amongst them!
- Brown-headed cowbirds are literally described as exhibiting "mafia behavior." what they do is they drop an egg in another bird's nest to let the other bird raise it and if the other bird ditches the egg the cowbirds come back and trash the nest.
- We would call them the sparrow mafia. Because they ran off anyone who interfered with them .
- The deer mafia. "it's a nice forest ya got here. Be a shame if something happened to it.".
- Omg something similar happened to my dad's coworker... They wouldn't let her out her front door to get to her car unless she fed them, it was a raccoon mafia situation.
- The secret is that the beavers and the squirrels are the mafia of rural life. You don't pay the squirrels, the beavers will make your life unbearable.
- You can think of it the bald eagle equivalent of a mafia scheme. As a heron parent you are concerned with ensuring your eggs and nest are safe from racoons and more. Dilan praat calls it the mafia scheme.
