- Classic mafia protection racket move. Threaten something, and then collect big bucks.
- In italy we call this "protection". When the mafia asks you for money for their protection services. They protect you from themselves.
- Brazen mafia protection racket - give us your money or we won't protect you against us.
- The mafia boss scenario. "you need our protection." "protection from who?" "from us.".
- Reminds me of when your pay an “insurance” to the mafia so your shop is protected….
- I'd call it extortion. It's like the bully who takes lunch money. You don't get anything in exchange for it except to not get beaten up. It's mafia protection racket.
- Mafia moves. We want 50% of your operation. It would be a shame if anything happened to it.
- This is how the mafia works. Threats, veiled threats and a public announcement to show submission and loyalty.
- It’s also blatant, mafia-style extortion: “let us in or we cancel your contracts and crush your business”.
- And the sort of thing the mafia and protection racketeers do. "pay me money before a terrible "accident" happens to your business.".
- The mafia always wants to get into 'legitimate business' for money laundering, etc.
- This is literally how the mafia works. They extract as much money as they can from a business, then torch it.
- Mafia bust out economics they make you scared of crazy joe pesci so you let them into your business for a percentage for protection next thing you know they're buying expensive stuff on credit and shipping it out the back door then you go bust they sell it on to a buddy or torch the place.
- Exactly how the mafia does it. Break something, give them a loan they can’t refuse, liquidate everything as repayment, and finally burn it down for the insurance money.
- A business under the thumb of cosa nostra perhaps what they’re doing is like a mafia bust out where they bleed a business white after running up the debt.
- Once the mafia knows someone will pay protection money, they’ll just keep asking for more.
- Give the mafia a dollar in “protection” money and they will come back for your entire savings tomorrow.
- Is ist really possible to get a good deal with the mafia? will they respect whatever is agreed upon? sorry, but i doubt it. A bully is a bully is a bully.
- It's never a one time payment with the mafia. Everyone doing these bribes. .err donations, are signing up for a reoccurring shakedown mafia bill.
- Never make deals with the mafia. You will always lose, and you can never escape.
