- So clearly driven by the right wing making sure we think immigrants are the cause of the uk's low growth poor public services, not 14 yrs' austerity brexit, bcos who have you ever talked to who's directly impacted?
- A relentless, amoral persecution of immigrants in an effort to deflect from domestic policy failures. Oh and brexit.
- What we're seeing in the uk (predominantly england) today is simply thinly-veiled racism dressed up as patriotism. Just call it what it is: scapegoating immigrants for problems created by decades of government policy and corporate greed.
- Immigrants didn't destroy britain. Austerity, the super-rich and our corrupt politicians did. The rot you see around you are political choices, choices that were made to protect a rich minority.
- We're all immigrants, or descendants of immigrants. With an ageing population and a falling birth rate, britain really needs immigrants to want to come to work here.
- Our social services would be on the floor without immigrants - our elderly wouldn't be cared for! so many examples.
- Britain depends on immigrants to keep the economy going. We're all immigrants.
- The obvious reality is that we cannot stop immigration neither should we want to - our economy is totally dependent on immigrants.
- If people in the uk are very poorly informed about immigration levels and where immigrants are coming from that’s precisely what the far right wanted to achieve. It’s being deliberately stoked with serious money.
- The problem is that the likes of tommy robinson and nigel farage are honing the ignorance of many people in this country about what immigrants do actually contribute into hatred.
- This is the problem too many brits believe most immigrants are illegal, they are not. The small boats that farage claims is the main problem make up 4%, they never have been the problem, farage is!
- There’s only ‘mounting public anger & despair’ because the right wing media trash have manufactured outrage about immigrants.
- An immigrant living in spain, originally from the uk, claims there are too many immigrants in the uk. That's the effed up mindset of right-wing people.
- I have family that emigrated to australia, they complain about britain being full of immigrants & support farage. The hypocrisy is quite astonishing.
- Arseholes like this are precisely what's fucking wrong with the uk. Mind you, back in mallorca, i loved it when english, south african and american immigrants identified as expats. It told me to avoid them like the fucking plague.
- Complaining about immigrants when you are one or your wife and mum and dad are. Absolute muppetry.
- Labour cowardice on immigration is pathetic. Why are they too scared to say that immigrants are our friends, colleagues, neighbours and family, and it's great that they are here?
- What horrifies me in britain is how only the lib dems and greens seem to be concerned with the humanity of immigrants. Labour, reform, and the tories all seem to be playing variations of the same tune.
- It's both bigoted and incredibly dumb. Immigrants are net contributors to the uk economy already. I don't know what idiot in labour hq thought this was a good idea, or why the cabinet didn't just tell them to fuck off.
- It’s such a shock. Not that there are racists and xenophobes — there have always been racist and xenophobes — but that a labour government refuses to condemn them and has decided to support the campaign of misinformation against immigrants.
