- I love bluesky. It's the only social media app where i don't see racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, etc. Tik tok, reddit, and twitter i see it everywhere.
- Twitter - full of nazis. Actual nazis. Then there’s the homophobia, transphobic, the death threats, the lies. Bluesky is not like twitter. It’s people fed up of the hate who migrated here.
- I'm fine in a bubble without racism, nazis, homophobia, and death threats. Been on bluesky for a while now and can't comprehend why people accepted that as the new normal on x.
- Opens twitter; homophobia/transphobia, racism, conspiracy theories, and lots of other horrible stuff. Opens bluesky; people talking about their day, their interests, cool art, and people just having a good time. This app is such a breath of fresh air, have yet to see anything like that here.
- The difference between bluesky and any other social media is so nice. There's not some idiot, commented negatively on every post. I don't come across homophobia at all. Instead i see empathetic, creative, intelligent people with something interesting to say. I hope it stays this way.
- While bluesky is all to freedom of speech, it also has strict policies against harassment and hate, unlike twitter. Instead, to report all homophobia, racism & misogyny you see here.
- I submitted numerous reports about homophobia on bluesky (including being doxxed, deadnamed, intimidated, and having my life threatened). Bluesky moderation did nothing.
- Bluesky is a “liberal echo chamber”? if you mean that it’s a place where pernicious racism, homophobia & lies aren’t tolerated, then sure, i’ll take this echo chamber over the nazi nest of x.
- I feel like the main reason a lot of far right people are instantly banned when they got on bluesky is because twitter doesn't really have any rules vs homophobia or transphobia but bluesky does.
- So much racism, homophobia, ableism, transphobia reported, and not one bit of feedback from bluesky. Not one. This place is a joke.
- Sadly, the increasing # of hateful posts means that the twitter/x trolls & assholes are migrating to bluesky. They got lonely unable to find people to direct their hate-filled toxic barbs toward & push their agenda of homophobia, misogyny & anti-blackness.
- Oh lovely, just a few scrolls down and yet another bit of snappy homophobia. I come to bluesky to be humiliated, i guess.
- I thought bluesky was supposed to be a safer environment than x and threads. I have not found this to be the case at all. I’ve blocked so many trigger words but i’m still seeing trolling. 2 much politics. Antisemitism. Homophobia. Hate speech.
- Can someone tell me. If i get attacked here with homophobia then how is bluesky better than x.
- As for me, the last time i had this "i was a philosophy major, leave my casual homophobia alone" type of exchange was on twitter. Seems like the unpleasant ppl have found bluesky. That's unfortunate.
