- I want to represent trans characters in my books, accurately and lovingly.
- I write fiction with predominantly queer, main characters whom are men. I do this because growing up, i never had any fiction with a character i could identify with.
- I started writing because i was sick of how trans characters were portrayed in crime fiction. I wanted badass trans characters who pushed back against the bigoted stereotypes.
- Fiction is at its best when it makes the existence of lgbtqia feel like something that is normal and not some rare thing that comes around only once in a blue moon.
- The point was to show that trans fiction is not a niche in itself, we can write stories that are at home in any genre.
- I'm going to be writing about queer books (which is all i read), particularly in the romance, horror, and speculative fiction genres.
- I’m trying to find fiction novels (fantasy, sci fi, are my favorite genres to read) that are either lgbtqia themed or written by members of the lgbtqia community.
- One of the things i love about trans fiction (and queer fiction more generally) is that it isn't a genre. It's an overarching descriptor that doesn't put any limits on the contents.
- I don't think i write trans fiction, i write fiction that sometimes has trans people in it because trans people.exist!
- I like that there's writers out there who make it their mission statement to create trans joy and depict queer happy endings with their fiction, because i'm gonna write something else.
- Trans genre fiction trans lit, imo i feel writers who have to - /have to/ - get down on the page their raw fury and resentment and horniness in the face of a broken, hateful world.
- I barely see any trans characters in most fiction, so writing them myself feels good.
4. Debates y Perspectivas Comunitarias.
- I don't really try to put a moral or theme in my fiction, but i hope my work gets at least one thing across: trans mascs are desirable too, as friends, as family, as lovers.
- Yass! that's why i write solely butch/femme fiction. Butch identity is soo underrepresented!!
- It was pointed out to me a few weeks ago that the most popular setup for trans lesbian fiction - by far - is “girl discovers she is trans and a lesbian, and a cis girl is nice to her about it.”.
- I do think i prefer some level of queerphobia in fiction these days, even in complete fantasy worlds, because i find it more relatable.
