- Isn't brexit entirely based on fiction? the fantasy of sunlit uplands, taking back control, global britain, pork markets, stop the boats, they need us more, are laws, are regs. If occams razor had a brexit blog, it would have three words, max: "brexit is bonkers".
- This ties in w the idea that there was a specific list of grievances which, had they been dealt with, would have prevented brexit. This is legal fiction and political fantasy.
- Happy dan hannan day to those who celebrate it. Here's hannan's famous article from 21 june 2016 it's brexiter fan fiction that is utterly unsubstantiated and entirely disconnected from actual reality. Brexit is a laughable, deluded nationalist fairy tale.
- So confirming brexit was a waste of time because the whole debate was based on fiction.
- No it was a tory work of fiction - mm well actually everything the tories utter is fiction !
- We have 15 years of the conservatives sacrificing our quality of life for a fiction about immigration. How very sad to see labour trumpeting (pun intended) that same fiction and throwing more of the uk on to that fire.
- The labour party has fully become the uk democrats. Whining while in opposition about all the right-wing things (because that is their part in the fiction) then fully implementing them when put in power.
- If scotland and wales were hugely important for the labour party then they wouldn't be doing any of the things they are doing. It's pure fiction.
3. Nigel Farage y Reform UK: Fantasía Populista.
- Front of the bbc website and obv all across the rw media. Fantasy fiction from fantasy farage.
- The new yorker is selling farage fan fiction. “pm nigel” is fantasy. We’re 4 years from an election, reform has 5 mps, and can barely run councils.
- Zia yusuf's hypothetical account of what nigel farage's first act as prime minister would be is a silly piece of political fan fiction. This fantasy would not happen.
- Parody alert! thinking of voting reform uk in ? meet the party that wants to run the nhs like amazon prime, fix the climate with oil money, and fight potholes with xenophobia. It’s thatcher fan fiction in a union jack cape.
- If this current labour party government has achieved anything, its showing how fundamentally corrupt and evil british empire government is, regardless of what party is in power its shown the 'uk' is nothing but a fiction written up by and for those in power who benefit from its existence.
- The union is a fiction, it is and always has been a subjugation. Scotland and wales have whatever "freedom" they have at the whim of the british (english) parliament.
- Indeed. When the uk government's own documents on the matter from the time have headings like "maintaining the fiction", it's pretty hard for the uk to argue that its position has a solid legal standing.
- ‘the british people’ is a fiction. A capricious, incoherent statistical and ultra-abstracted amalgam of half-formed gripes and resentments itself heavily influenced by the state and media setting their boots on necks and pressing down hard.
