- Russia systematically uses propaganda and disinformation in 16 european countries to destabilize democracies. The aim: to divide europe and create an “axis of autocrats” that will weaken the eu from within.
- West under threat? russian disinformation against europe has multiple strategic goals: undermining european unity & nato. Discrediting democratic institutions. Exacerbating social division. Support pro-russian movements. Economic/energy disruption. Weakening us-europe relations. People need to know!
- Disinformation is low-cost, deniable, and devastatingly effective. It enables moscow to chip away at european democracies from within - by co-opting parties, pressuring intellectuals, and silencing dissent. 14/24.
- Russian disinformation aims to be the seed for chaos that could enable a right-wing takeover in key european countries. Many right-wing parties have connections to russia and, in addition to their anti-migrant rhetoric, are against providing further support to ukraine.
- Russia is attacking europe and usa, not with rockets and soldiers, but disinformation, hacking and sabotage. How do you think we got trump and maga?
- From troll farms to politicians: russia’s ‘conquest’ of european minds russia is waging a silent war across europe – not with tanks, but with propaganda, disinformation, ai, and political influence.
- ‘these people are disposable’: how russia is using online recruits for a campaign of sabotage in europe european intelligence agencies say moscow has launched a campaign of sabotage, arson and disinformation against the continent. Often it is simply aimed at causing chaos and unease.
- Commentary: russia is waging an aggressive hybrid war against europe, using tactics like cyberattacks, sabotage, disinformation and covert operations to destabilize governments, undermine nato and weaken the eu.
- Russia's hybrid warfare on eu is spreading like cancer to every single country. They push local nationalist and populist "us against them" conspiracy theories to undermine eu cohesion, spread disinformation, isolate and estrange us from each other - so they can march in with tanks to "liberate" us.
- Democracy is anchored in values and europe is about to be hit hard by new waves of russia orchestrated multi-prong disinformation campaigns undermining truth and values. They were successful in uk (brexit) and us. What is done?
- Divide and disintegrate europe, let russians swallow it. Daily sabotage, cyber crime, widespread disinformation campaigns, bought corrupt politicians across germany, netherlands, poland, france, you name it. The war is here, you can’t and you won’t escape it.
- Since 2014, putin has worked to destabilize europe: weaponizing refugees, attacking infrastructure, spreading disinformation, and backing far-right parties. It’s hybrid war—splitting societies, weakening democracy, and undermining the eu from within.
4. Respuestas y Contramedidas Necesarias.
- A very clear wake-up call for european politicians who still underestimate russia's ongoing information warfare. This kind of disinformation isn't just harmless rhetoric—it’s part of a broader strategy to destabilize, confuse, and weaken european democracies.
- Europe should fight russia's information war inside russia. Current measures taken by western countries, such as fact-checking and sanctions, are not enough to stop disinformation.
- 6/7 step 5: learn to fight hybrid and information wars. Russia's disinformation campaigns, cyber attacks, corruption, and espionage across europe will only intensify. Create both a "democracy shield" and a sword to counter these threats.
- People in the eu are lucky to have a leader that doesn't kiss putin's boots and leave behind an orange stain. I do feel though the eu is lagging behind on fighting disinformation. I hope other eu members can learn from finland and copy what they do. Stopping disinformation helps stop putin!
