- And while i encourage people to use today as an opportunity to connect with those they love, it's origins should be acknowledged. Also i perfectly understand americans who refuse to celebrate thanksgiving. So yeah colonialism sucks ass.

3. Alternativas y Reflexiones en el Día de Acción de Gracias.
Se proponen alternativas para conmemorar el día, como honrar a los pueblos indígenas, reflexionar sobre el colonialismo y apoyar a las comunidades marginadas.
- Today, instead of blindly celebrating thanksgiving, i’m choosing to decolonize it. I will instead honor the victims of genocide and the oppression wrought on by western colonialism, past and present.
- It's a good day to say that on this side we don't support or celebrate imperial colonialism and genocide. To me, thanksgiving is another indigenous people's day. Frankly–in the us–everyday is indigenous people's day. It's all their land.

- Colonialism never ended. America is a settler-colonial apartheid state. Indigenous people are still fighting against a centuries long genocide. Land back now.
