- Apathy is the greatest enemy of our democracy and the authoritarians, racists, bigots, oligarchs, and radical fringe groups appreciate your non participation. Vote!!
- Apathy can destroy a democracy. There should be a national voting day where everyone has off from work to vote and with a free voter id when you turn 18.
- Apathy is how the worst people win.
- Voter apathy is a large reason why we are in this mess. If you dont care enough to help out by voting the dont complain to me.
- Its not apathy, its disillusionment with a system that has failed americans time and time again.
- Apathy comes from a lifetime of watching things get worse for the average person no matter who wins.
- A lot easier to blame apathy for people not voting over trying to have a conversation over voter suppression, inaccessibility, intimidation, etc that prevents people from voting.
- Voter apathy is a symptom of the problem being bad politicians who promise and never deliver while continuing to stab us in exactly the same way they have been for years.
- Not voting when all your choices are shit should not be assumed to be apathy. For millions of non-voters, it is disgust andor recognition that none of the options are offering anything meaningful.
- Not voting is, for many, a positive and deliberate political act. To take that away from people is anti-democratic.
- Disgust is indistinguishable from apathy if they dont vote.
- Non-voting isnt neutral. Its a decision with consequences, one that too often protects the powerful by default. If apathy keeps winning, democracy wont.
- Apathy is a cop out. No politician can please everyone. Voting is not a transaction. Voting is not put a ring on it. Voting is a civic duty.
- We must stand up, speak up, and show up. Otherwise, we will be reduced to mothing.
- The cure for apathy is action. Fix your country, and atone for your disinterest.
- We need people to understand how risky it is not to vote. Apathy erodes democracy.
