- There is real antisemitism, both on the right and the left. And the garbage “antisemitism” that the right is going on about makes things less safe for jews.
- Antisemitism isn’t left or right. It’s hate. If you only call it out on the “other side,” you’re not fighting it, you’re feeding it.
- Not everything that's being called antisemitism actually is, but the left also clearly has an antisemitism problem just as bad as the right's.
- I hate how many leftists that i otherwise respect still think that there is no antisemitism in the left. They see legitimate criticism of israel being labeled as anti-semitic and conclude that all criticism of leftist anti-semitism must be equally invalid.
- The left are against antisemitism. They have denounced it at every turn. The right only calls them antisemitic to hide their own bigotry. Don’t fall for it. Don’t blame the left for the right wings racism.
- Its just plainly antisemitic. Antisemitism has become a standard position of the left.
- Antisemitism accusations are almost always used as a weapon, because they know we'll take.
- There are two main groups of people talking about antisemitism on the left. Rightwingers who do so disingenuously because they want to discredit and/or sow chaos on the left and people actually on the left who want to make the left better.
- The left is complacent as fuck about antisemitism. It's all well and good to say correctly that most comes from the right or that it's often hasbara, but the desire to dismiss it entirely or explain it away is toxic.
- Maybe listen to jews when we tell you about antisemitism. The left is antisemitic as fuck. They certainly denounce the antisemitism of the right, but that doesn't mean they've divested themselves of their own antisemitism.
- Every time a jewish person says “hey there’s a problem with antisemitism on the left” a person on the left is happy to tell jews “no there isn’t the antisemitism is only on the right, on the left we just protest the genocide in gaza and you jews call it antisemitism.” which is fucked.
- Ty, i presume you’re not jewish? please listen to jews on antisemitism just as you’d want white people to listen to black people on racism. Many in our community are as afraid of the far left as the far right. In some cases, the left is worse because they pretend to care about social justice.
- Antisemitism isn’t left or right. It’s hate. If you only call it out on the “other side,” you’re not fighting it, you’re feeding it. Right or left, it dehumanizes. It corrodes democracy. It makes us all less safe. See it everywhere. Or you don’t see it at all.
- Antisemitism is a universal problem. Just is. But the right are the far more enthusiastic purveyors and sustainers, and many "left" practitioners just parrot shit from the right.
- Antisemitism is a much much bigger problem on the right than on the left but, yeah, when folks here say there’s no antisemitism on the left, i make lip farts and roll my eyes.
